Melissa grew up in the Lake Norman area and always wanted to find a way to give back to this community. As a graduate student, she grew an interest in working with pre-school and early school aged children which led her to complete a certificate in Play Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has worked clinically with children, adolescents, and families in diverse settings, incorporating creative and experiential therapeutic approaches into her work that help children and adolescents feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically. She currently practices at her office location in Huntersville, NC and her farm location in Iron Station, NC.
